How do I create a shortcut to select the menu bar items in All Applications. e.g. Select File, or Select Edit, etc. ?

I would like to have a keyboard shortcut to drop down the File menu in the top menu bar, another one to drop down the Edit menu, and another one to drop down the Tools menu, etc.
I've been able to generate a shortcut to select an item in the File menu or an item in the Edit menu, etc., but how do I specify to select (and therefore, drop down) the File or Edit or Tools or ... in the top menu bar.

QuicKeys can't do that with the Menu Selection step. You can try the built in OS control of control-F2 to select the Menu bar with these steps:

1) Type Keystroke of control-F2 to put the selection into the Menu bar
2) Type Keystroke of the first letter of the menu you want to next go to - if there are more than 1 menu that has the same letter you will need another Type Keystroke with that letter
3) Type Keystroke of Down Arrow to open up the selected menu
