QuicKeysIM.osax log message

Postby oprah_noodlemantra » Wed Dec 16, 2009 12:53 am

Hi,

When I launch SubEthaEdit.app and look in the 'All messages' log I get the following message:

16/12/09 7:50:24 SubEthaEdit[8830] Performance: Please update this scripting addition to supply a value for ThreadSafe for each event handler: "/Users/oprah_noodlemantra/Library/ScriptingAdditions/QuicKeysIM.osax"

Is this something to be concerned about?

I'm told that there isn't anything to be concerned about and the message can be ignored.

How can I be sure I have the latest possible version of this component? What I'd really like to do is remove the existing one, and have QuicKeys install the latest one. Is that possible without uninstalling and reinstalling the entire QuicKeys package? The reason I want to do it is that I'm having issues with an application that may be related to something in the scripting system related to the ThreadSafe log message. Thanks.

you manage it in the QuicKeys preferences Add-Ons tab - latest version is 1.0.4 for QuicKeys 4.0.7

Is this still a non issue under 10.8.5? I get hundreds of these messages and I have to force quit QuicKeys every time I use a MIDI control surface with QuicKeys for a while.

it isn't anything to be concerned about and would probably not have anything to do with midi in QuicKeys. You should use the following link to Contact Support about the force quit issue.
