QuicKeys, Filemaker Pro 12, and Font Color

QuicKeys, Filemaker Pro 12, and Font Color

Postby CharPatton1 » Thu May 10, 2012 7:22 pm

Hi:

I'd like to change the color of selected text in a field in FM Pro. QK nicely changes font, text size, and style, but when I go to the color palette to try and change the selected text to black I keep getting errors:
The shortcut "Format" has stopped. Step number 5 named "Select Color Palette in submenu of menu Format" failed with the description "The Menu Selection step did not work".

Does anyone know how one can automate QK to change selected text black, nothing fancy. Are there keyboard shortcuts to avoid the menu diving?

Thank you!

Thanks for the advice! Much appreciated.

Can you update the referenced post? This seems to refer to an earlier version of FMP. When I choose by position, it opens the new Mac color palette (Format>Text Color> Other Color, 3rd option, palette = Apple), rather than just choosing black. Is there a work around to this?

Again, thanks.

that has worked since somewhere around version 3 or 4 and I was using version 11 - looks like they decided to break it in 12. You will have to set it up using the "Menu Clicks" to get it to work.
