Keynote Hot keys

Keynote Hot keys

Postby Mr B » Sun Mar 19, 2006 12:23 pm

Hi, I'm interested in trying to get QuicKeys to jump to specific slides in Keynote. Can this be done? During a slideshow you can jump to a slide by typing in a number and pressing return. I have tried to make a hot key to do this but it doesn't seem to affect keynote at all. I'm assuming that when in "Show" mode, Keynote blocks certain access.

Any thoughts or ideas would be very welcome.

got a trial copy and tried this out. I looks like Keynote isn't going to allow any hot keys to be triggered when Playing a Slideshow. I was able to setup a shortcut that I triggered before going into Slideshow mode and it would change to the slide then. I setup a shortcut with the first step as a pause for 10 seconds. The 2nd step was a Type Text with a number and return and option set to "Type Text", "Insert Text" didn't work. I don't know what you are trying to accomplish by having QuicKeys type what slide to go to, why wouldn't you just to the typing yourself?
