How to Restore Shortcuts from Time Machine (Mac)

  • I have an iMac with QuicKeys installed
  • I had a bunch of shortcuts created and saved by QK
  • I also have Time Machine backups of my computer
  • I recently had to do a fresh install of Mac OSX
  • When I went to "Restore" my shortcuts from Time Machine, I found that QK stores shortcuts in HOME/LIBRARY/QuicKeys/SHORTCUTS....which you can get to when the computer is in normal mode by holding down the "Option" key, putting the cursor on the Finder's "Go" tab in the top left corner of the screen, and the "Library" folder will temporarily appear (with the Option key pressed)
  • Time Machine, the Finder's tabs are not available, so you can't do the "Go"/"Option" combo to get to the Library where QK's shortcuts are held

Thoughts on how to get to them so I don't have to rewrite ALL of those shortcuts I've already spent SO much time creating in the first place?

go into Time Machine and hit command-shift-G to bring up the Go to Folder dialog and enter ~/Library and press the Go button
