Run a shortcut with the computer screen in sleep mode?

Postby jman995x » Wed Jun 19, 2013 1:49 pm

I want to run a shortcut that takes about an hour to complete (a lot of "do this...then wait for that...then do something else...then wait again"...etc.).
I'd like to have the shortcut run BUT allow the computer SCREEN to go to sleep so that I'm not shortening the life of the screen while the shortcut is running (since I won't be there to see what is going on anyway).
Is there a way to do this?

Thanks,

J.

if it is an external monitor you would have to just turn it off. If it is a monitor on a laptop you probably aren't going to be able to do anything. QuicKeys is going to be accessing things and the display just isn't going to stay asleep.
