Add a period to the end of a line?

Postby bobqk2013 » Fri Sep 06, 2013 11:07 am

Does anyone have a recipe for adding a period to the end of a line?

One place I need it is in an app OmniFocus, to add a period to the end of a line, but where the line doesn't have a carriage return, so I can't use CR as part of the equation. thanks

You'll have to explain a bit more on what kind of steps you are trying to use and how you are trying to do this. More also on exactly how you would do it manually without QuicKeys.

In OmniFocus, there is what I would call a 'field', which is to list an action. I want each action to end with a period, which is no problem when I'm manually entering data, however, sometimes I have data pasted in -- something the app can do with text selected in a Mail program -- and when that text doesn't end with a period, I want to add a period.

The line of text looks like:

Review: How to can food

The cursor is parked just before "H", for example.

Manually, I'd put the cursor after the final character of the line, then type a period. But wait, since I've thought this through more just now, I recalled that control-e goes to the end of the line. So that solves my problem. Thanks for the prodding!
