duplicate individual shortcut to use in another scope

Postby pianoman » Sun Oct 06, 2013 1:27 pm

I am on 10.6.8, QuicKeys 4.0.7

I would like to be able to 'copy' one shortcut from eg excel, and 'paste' it into another application; I have tried to copy/paste, but the copy ends up in the same application with a '2' appended; can't seem to move it to a different app. I saw how to export/import from one app to another, but it moves every shortcut instead of just the ones I want moved.

So, how to duplicate only one or a few from an app into a different app, that is the ?

thanks, Peter

you can do it the way you did by copy and pasting or using the Duplicate in the File menu. All you have to do now is go into the shortcuts you pasted in and change the Scope to the new application you want. The way you are doing it you can now modify the new shortcut if it has to be changed just a bit for the new application. If you aren't going expecting any changes to the shortcut then you can use the Duplicate Scope from the File menu and it will just add the new application scope to the old shortcut.
