Shortcuts Searching

Postby pdr » Fri May 12, 2006 11:18 am

Hi

I would love to have the ability to search for QuicKeys shortcuts via a Mac OS X style UI search tool in the toolbar.

Total QK junkie -- I have over 300 (!) shortcuts -- and sometimes have difficulty finding the one I want to edit.

Regards,
Peter

Search tool should be high priority...

Greetings,

I'm glad to hear that the filter feature has been added to the list, but I wonder if you realize how archaic and kludgy the interface feels at this point without same.

The feature becomes more imperative as the number of shortcuts increases (in my case well over 400 now - on Mac OS 9 with OneClick I had over 1000) and memory of exactly what I've named something gets fuzzy.

I'd also like to see the filter permit searching triggers via a pop-up context switch in the filter field.

QuicKeys is starting to feel like an old Pacer without wiper blades.

I have way too many shortcuts for Scopes to help at all. This application really, really, really needs to add a Find/Search feature. I can't stand trying to remember what I named one of hundreds of shortcuts in order to edit it. Isn't a basic Find feature sort of a basic 101 implementation? The inability to find shortcuts I need to edit quickly is turning me away from QuicKeys more often as of late. I get the idea to tweak a shortcut but then my gut reaction forget it, I don't have the time to play hide and seek.

This application is really starting to feel very outdated. This wouldn't be the first time for that to happen with a cross-platform application, not by a long shot. Hoping for some future innovation (as well as "duh" features). Thanks.
