Possible to identity pointer state

Possible to identity pointer state

Postby gtripi » Fri Jun 12, 2009 6:37 pm

I would really like there to be a way to identify whether the pointer is in "point-mode" or in "typing-mode". What I mean is being able to discern if I am typing text into a field, or moving the mouse/pointer around. I use some shortcuts that are Shift+(letter) (it's an old habit..... i can't change it) and if I want to use, say... a capital M in my typing.... it triggers a shortcut. Would be nice if QuicKeys could recognize that I am typing something in my program (Digital Performer in this case), and not trigger the shortcut...... unless the pointer is active that is. Hope that all made sense.

thanks

that isn't possible with QuicKeys but you might want to check out the QuicKeys preferences under Triggers and setup a hot key for toggling triggers. You would then hit the hot key and you could type normal and then hit it again to make your shortcuts work again.
