Clipboard doesn't take selection from CRTL+C

Postby Focus Pocus » Sat Jul 18, 2009 9:50 am

I have made a simple sequence of copying excel cells values to variables.
Looks like this:'
click first cell;
Type keystroke [CRTL+C];
Assign action (variable1=Clipboard);
Type keystroke [Right];
Type keystroke [CRTL+C];
Assign action (variable2=Clipboard);

as a result, variable1 holds the proper value of cell 1, but variable2 don't hold value of cell 2. Instead it holds the value of cell 1.

I have an impression, that clipboard, after receiving its first data portion, somehow blocks itself from getting other data portions in followed sequence steps.

Am I doing something wrong?

you might need to put a small Pause in between the Type Keystroke of Control-C and Assigning the variable the Clipboard content. You might also have to try using the Copy from the Edit menu - it might be an Excel problem. You could turn on Debugging and single step to see if it works then.
