Help - QK and IE8 - Grabbing Graphics

Postby jems » Sat Feb 27, 2010 5:55 am

Early today I posted regarding Qk and trying to login via a web page.
Hoping the some answers on that one soon.

In the meantime, this is the 2nd problem I am having:

I manually logged into the web interface I referenced in my 1st post.
So, I have logged into the web based application, then I recorded the actions I wanted, cleaned up the steps and tried it.
The screen navigation is fine, then I need to click on some graphics and do a "Save as Picture ..".

In the sequence, there is an action to do a right click on the graph, which brings up the Select Menu [Save Picture...] .
Then there is Wait for Window ['Save Picture' Disappears]". The sequence looks like:
- Mouse Click [ 516, 314, 0, 0 ] - uses a right mouse click on the graphic I want and the pop-up menu list appears
- Select Menu [Save Picture As...] - this is the item in the pop-up menu list
- Wait for Window ['Save Picture' DisAppears]
- etc.

The sequence then seems to stop at the "Select Menu [Save Picture As...]".

Any ideas??

Thanks in advance for any suggestions and advise.

I don't think you can use a Select Menu within a pop-up menu like that. Try using a Type Keystroke of S or some Down arrows to select the item you want and then return to accept it.

Tried every sequence I could think of, without success.

As per my other post re Username and Password, the bits I cannot do in QK I will call the AutoRecorder file, which can do the Save as Picture stuff.
Just a pity, as trying to edit the Autorecoder script is ugly.
