Docktopus freezing Mail

Docktopus freezing Mail

Postby cortig » Thu May 11, 2006 10:39 pm

Hi All,

For a little while, I've noticed very frequent spinning beachballs of death in Mail and I was wondering what was causing it... It appears Docktopus is responsible. If I deactivate it before launching Mail, no more problem... Anybody else has noticed that?? Could it be the Docktopus mail-counting badge??

If you are having problems with that, the only suggestion would be to not use that badge. The developer says that it is a problem with the way Apple's Mail handles the AppleScript that causes it to get bond up. It wouldn't get any better until Mail handles the AppleScript better if they ever do.
